TRAVESTY! By 1967 he was a concensus All-American receiver at Bama. He went on to the NFL and played for the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs; he also played in the World Football League. The Muscle Shoals native is a medical supplies salesman.

    Bobby graduated from Banks High School in Birmingham and went on to become one of the Crimson Tide's best ever defensive backs. He played on the '65 National Championship team and was an All-American on the '66 team that was robbed of a three-peat. TRAVES...  moreBobby graduated from Banks High School in Birmingham and went on to become one of the Crimson Tide's best ever defensive backs. He played on the '65 National Championship team and was an All-American on the '66 team that was robbed of a three-peat. TRAVESTY! He went into coaching after leaving Alabama and coached at a couple of Alabama high schools (McAdory and E.B. Erwin) and had several assistant coaching jobs at schools like Valdosta State and FSU. He became a head coach at the University of West Alabama. Bobby's wife, Karen, is into asthletics. She just led the U.S. Junior Women's Softball Team to a gold medal in South Africa. The Johns live in Trussville.  less

    Richard caught Joe Namath's first touchdown pass at Alabama. The Fort Deposit, Ala., native played for Bear Bryant in 1961 and '62 and became an assistant coach at UA from 1963-67 and 70-71. The Fort Deposit, Ala., native played for Bear Bryant in 1961 and '62 and became an assistant coach at UA from 1963-67 and 70-71. Thus he coached during the Tide's back-to-back 1964 and '65 National Championship teams and was denied the three-peat, like the rest of the team, when the pollsters gave the 1966 National Championship to a once tied Notre Dame team over an undefeated Alabama team. TRAVESTY! Richard retired in 2010 as the Carolina Panthers (NFL) wide receivers coach after 15 years, the longest stint of any Carolina coach. In the college ranks Richard coached at Memphis State (head coach) and Arkansas (assistant). in the NFL he also coached with the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Bucs and Cincinnati Bengals. He and his wife live in Charlotte, N.C.  less
